|The Easts Group of Clubs continues to have a widely respected community support focus and we proudly exceed our regulatory obligations and charitable donations targets through our Community Support program.
Donations of money and sponsorship are made by the Club each year to a variety of groups, the majority of which are locally based. This support may take the form of sponsorship, cash donations, free use of room hire facilities, goods in kind or administration assistance.
Through sponsorship and donations, Easts Group of Clubs supports many activities in the community including charitable works, hobbies, and sporting activities. The support that the Club provides is matched by the hundreds of hours of community service and charitable activities donated by the many individuals who work tirelessly to make our local community a better place to live.
Amongst the organisations the Easts Group assist are Danceability Australia, Cancer Council of NSW, Barnardos South Coast, Berkeley Anglican Life Centre, St Phillip's Anglican Church Kingswood, Youth of the Streets, Cerebral Palsy Alliance and CareFlight.
Easts House & Ted Noffs Foundation
Easts continues a long tradition of supporting the local community with the historic ‘Easts House’ at Randwick.
The building ceased to operate as a post office in 1996, and in October 2000, the building was purchased by Eastern Suburbs Leagues Club, to be used as the Administration Centre for the Ted Noffs Foundation in its work assisting Australian youth in crisis.
The project was four years in the making, and the passing over of Easts House for use by the Ted Noffs Foundation is the largest individual project ever supported by Easts. The support continues today, with the Administration Centre in its 12th year of being housed at Easts House.
The Eastern Suburbs District Rugby League Football Club also maintains close ties with the Ted Noffs Foundation at a community level, with players visiting the Foundation and youths being assisted by the important work of the Ted Noffs Foundation regularly attending Sydney Roosters home games.
The Ted Noffs Foundation was established 30 years ago by the great Australian humanitarian, Reverend Ted Noffs, and offers counselling free of charge, and residential and non-residential programs to young people with alcohol and other drug related issues.
